Tips on How to Grow Bloomerang Lilac
Bloomerang Lilac are hybrids – they can thrive against diseases and harsh conditions. They are generally low-maintenance and can be used as privacy screens or borders. They can be planted singularly, as well as in groups.
Light
While the Bloomerang may also grow under a partial shade, it thrives and blooms best under the sun.
Soil
Like every lilac, the bloomerang does better in soil that is enriched with organic matter. The optimum soil pH ranges from neutral to alkaline. Functional drainage is also vital for proper growth.
Water
Mulching the surrounding bottom of your lilac helps for moisture-retaining. It’s also advisable to moderately water it during dry seasons.
Temperature and Humidity
The Bloomerang requires long periods of cold weather to be able to bloom fully. Because of this, they’re not well suited to hot weather. The best areas for Bloomerang growth are those with not so hot summers. It can also be grown in areas with hot summers if adequately shaded.
Fertilizing
They should be fertilized twice. The first is in early spring, while the second is right after spring bloom—fertilizers rich in phosphorus foster blooming.
